The GAUFF Foundation supports the German Red Cross in medical care for earthquake victims in Haiti.

In cases of urgent necessity, we also offer help in places where we are not "at home". An occasion to do so was the disastrous earthquake in Haiti on 12th January 2010, which killed more than 200,000 people, made approximately 1.2 million homeless; as a consequence, millions of people have become dependent on foreign support overnight.

In view of this urgency, the GAUFF Foundation decided to give a donation to the German Red Cross to support the establishment of a mobile medical care centre and a mobile hospital in the disaster area. Over thousand patients can be treated in both facilities every day. This was and is an important contribution to the on-site care of sick and injured people.
