The GAUFF Foundation supports the German Red Cross in epidemic prevention and control.

Whereas the danger of epidemics seems to have been eradicated in large parts of Europe, it is still a permanent threat, often with lethal results, in Africa. Here, the GAUFF Foundation has commited itself to the fight against cholera. In order to get the epidemic under control, the inhabitants of endangered regions need to be provided with clean water and detergents for disinfection. Information campaigns on how to deal with the epidemic and on preventive measures are another important means in the fight against the threat of epidemics. For this reason, the GAUFF Foundation supports the German Red Cross in Angola in the supply of drinking water and in educational work concerning hygiene.
