Our aid is particularly effective when it comes in the form of investments in education and training. In fact, these do not only change the present situation of people but also provide them with perspectives for the future. With this in mind we are trying to integrate education and training measures into existing projects, particularly in the sector of children and youth promotion. To the children’s home in Uige, for instance, we donated a brick machine to enable the young people there to acquire workmanship skills and to help them improve the opportunities for their professional future.
We are likewise committed to promote young people’s studies of civil engineering, both at our Nuremberg headquarters and in countries where we have projects. By this, we want to do our part to guarantee that the highly qualified training of engineers will be maintained in the future.
