The GAUFF Foundation has five ambulances overhauled and transported to Luanda.
For the inhabitants of Angola’s rural areas, medical care centres are often far away, and in cases of emergency, help often comes too late. The German Federal Ministry of Defence provided five cross-country ambulances from the surplus stocks of the German Bundeswehr to the GAUFF Foundation. We had the vehicles completely overhauled and transported to Luanda. Our ally in this project, next to the Ministry of Defence, were the shipping company Grimaldi and the FESA Foundation, founded by the Angolan president José Eduardo dos Santos in 1996 (in the above picture with Helmut P. Gauff at the official handover of the ambulances).
