Aid for earthquake victims in Ecuador

On 16 April 2016 the north-western coast of Ecuador was struck by an earthquake with a magnitude of 7,8, leading to widespread damage. The coastal towns along the Pacific, a popular tourist destination, were especially affected by the earthquake, whereas tremors were felt as far as the north of Peru and the south of Colombia. Hundreds of aftershocks occurred and thousands of buildings were destroyed – an overwhelming tragedy on a vast scale for the country bordering the Andes.

With a donation of 10,000 Euro the GAUFF Foundation supports the relief action #EcuadorListoYSolidario, which is centrally co-ordinated by the Ecuadorian Foreign ministry, thus showing solidarity with the earthquake victims.
